English Cottage Project
Our Sonoma Hillside Project is another inspired example of how the “finishing 10%” can bring a space to life. A sweeping oceanic blue limewash accent wall in the main living area transforms with the Sonoma sky just beyond a glass wall. Whimsical wallpaper from Lonesome Pictopia paired with vintage woods and honey rush seating makes for an eclectic, enveloping dining experience. Textural layers in earth-toned neutrals create a calming retreat in the primary bedroom, elevated further by the sculptural settee swathed in a Soane fabric. The overall result: a highly textured, vibrant home that reflects the Sonoma valley and embodies our Clients’ soul.

Panhandle Project
Goldenbird Design was brought in to add more depth and warmth to a classic San Francisco Victorian. Our brief was simple – make this a space where people want to come together, sit, and stay awhile. We set out to create distinguished rooms that could stand on their own while still telling a cohesive story. Most importantly, we prioritized design solutions that would really showcase and celebrate the home’s original details.
All In The Details
At Goldenbird Design, we always aim to honor the existing qualities of a home instead of changing everything just for the sake of changing it. This sweetly classic San Francisco Victorian is the perfect embodiment of that approach. When we got our hands on the space, it was already oozing with existing details that you simply can’t recreate these days and that we certainly didn’t want to change. Hello, intricate crown molding! That said, a lot of the home felt dated and tired. The charm had, simply put, been washed over with an array of bland neutrals. It was our pleasure to bring new life to it.
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow” Rehearsal Dinner
A rehearsal dinner begs a sense of intimacy and privacy. To create this within a larger hotel setting, we did a canopy of warm twinkle lights over the farmhouse table and robust, elevated centerpieces to bring the guests’ attention inwards. Never underestimate the power of a romantic tablescape, golden lighting and a ukulele playing “somewhere over the rainbow” in the background.
